Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and dry yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Mix in cake mix, pink food coloring, vanilla, salt, and flour until combined.
- Knead dough on a floured surface for 5–10 minutes until smooth; let rise in a greased bowl for about an hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread with softened butter and sprinkle generously with sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll tightly into a log and cut into equal pieces (about 12).
- Place rolls on a greased baking sheet; let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare frosting by mixing cream cheese, butter, vanilla, half-and-half, powdered sugar, and salt until smooth.
- Frost warm rolls before serving.
