  • 12 oz cheese tortellini
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini in salted boiling water according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Season steak cubes and sear in olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in red pepper flakes, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, parsley, and chives.
  4. Add the cooked tortellini and steak bites to the skillet; toss with reserved pasta water and Parmesan until creamy.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and herbs.
