Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional: 1/2 cup crumbled bacon, 1/4 cup sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then sear for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, combine ranch dressing mix, brown gravy mix, chicken broth, and cream of mushroom soup. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- During the last few minutes of cooking, add cheddar cheese and bacon if using. Cover until cheese melts.
