- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil

- 4 cups Seafood Stock or Chicken Broth
- 1 cup Half-and-Half or Heavy Cream
- 1 pound Lump Crab Meat
- Seasonings: Old Bay, Paprika, Salt, Black Pepper
- Fresh Parsley and Lemon Wedges for garnish
Instructions
- In a heavy-bottomed pot, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion, celery, and carrot until softened (5–7 minutes). Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Stir in flour to coat the veggies. Gradually add seafood stock while stirring to avoid lumps. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Mix in half-and-half or heavy cream along with Old Bay seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Gently fold in lump crab meat and let cook for another 5 minutes until heated through.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
