- 2 cups dry elbow macaroni
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley, red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Cook elbow macaroni in boiling salted water until al dente (7-8 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium-high heat. Add diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown (6-7 minutes).
- Push chicken to one side of the skillet. Add remaining butter and minced garlic; cook until fragrant (30 seconds). Stir in honey.
- Pour in milk and chicken broth; bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually add shredded cheese while stirring until melted and smooth.
- Mix in cooked pasta, tossing to coat evenly. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Optional: Transfer to an oven-safe dish, top with more cheese, and broil for 2-3 minutes until bubbly.
