  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or vegan honey alternative

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Boil sweet potato slices in salted water for 8–10 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and cool slightly.
  3. Flatten each boiled slice on the baking sheet using a fork or glass.
  4. In a bowl, mix olive oil, maple syrup, chili paste, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Brush over smashed sweet potatoes.
  5. Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through until crispy and golden.
  6. Top with sesame seeds and fresh herbs before serving.
