  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • Optional: Provolone cheese and fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the beef chuck roast dry and rub with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Sear the roast in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned on all sides (3-4 minutes per side).
  3. Transfer the roast to the Crockpot. Mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce in a bowl; pour over the meat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until tender enough to shred easily with a fork.
  5. Shred the beef using two forks, then return it to the Crockpot to soak in juices.
