  • 2/3 cup chopped maraschino cherries
  • About 30 Hershey’s chocolate Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter, confectioners’ sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in maraschino cherry juice, almond extract, and food coloring (if using).
  4. Gradually add flour and chopped cherries until combined.
  5. Scoop dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly golden on the bottom.
  7. Immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie after removing from the oven.
  8. Cool on the pan for two minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
