- 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 16 ounce jar cocktail onions, drained well
- 8 ounce block cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tablespoons ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon white granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon horseradish
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
- Chop cocktail onions into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and toast panko breadcrumbs with spices until golden brown.
- In a mixing bowl, combine half the toasted breadcrumbs with cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, ketchup, sugar, horseradish, and remaining spices. Blend until smooth using a hand mixer.
- Stir in chopped onions and transfer the mixture to a serving bowl.
- Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving. Top with remaining breadcrumbs and parsley.
